Sweet-cake and Traditional Pastry-Making Festival
It is held in the old area of Melide on the second Sunday of May. It is devoted to the traditional Pastry-Making products of Melide: melindre, rico and almendrado. It should be pointed out that one of these sweets is only produced in Terra de Melide: the rico. Together with its compact shape smelling like butter, it is especially used for being kept for a long time. In local sport events, the rico is used as a natural energy bar.
